Guest Appreciation Raffle
As the summer comes to a close once again, we are grateful for our guests who treated our home with respect and kindness. Thank you very much! Many of you are aware that we offer a discounted rate of 5% during July & August and 8% during September-June to our repeat vacationers. Our list of guests that have come back twice, three, even four times is growing. With this in mind I thought it would be fun to offer a guest appreciation raffle, online of course. Here are the details:
I will randomly draw 2 winners on October 1st who will receive a $100 voucher to be used towards any stay at Lakeside Promise in 2008. The voucher can be used by the winner or can be given as a gift to a friend or family member. The winner will be announced by email and also posted on the raffle page on October 1, 2007.

The Polar Express Reminder
Each year the Polar Express train ride and production is held through out the holiday season in both North Conway and Lincoln NH. The only way to obtain tickets is through a lottery system. You make a $10 donation to "Believe in Books Literacy Foundation". In late October they start drawing names and calling around to sell out. The deadline to enter the lottery is September 30, 2007.

Wintertime activities in New Hampshire
Cross Country Skiing
Wolfeboro Cross Country Ski Association has 30 kilometers of machine groomed cross-country ski trails. A daily pass is $10/person; children 12 and under are free. Once a month they offer moonlight tours for experienced skiers. They also offer lessons. You can purchase ski rentals at Nordic Skier Sports in Wolfeboro. Wolfeboro is 10 miles from Lakeside Promise, with great shopping and restaurants in addition to great cross-country ski trails.
Downhill Skiing
Are you looking for a mountain to bring the family skiing this winter? Have you heard of King Pine? Not only is it a beautiful mountain, it is also affordable and friendly. Families with all skill levels will love it here, and the lines are short, you can't beat that!
King Pine Ski Mountain is located at 1251 Easton Road, Madison NH just 35 miles from Lakeside Promise. To get there is easy. Head north on route 16. Exit route 25E toward Center Ossipee for 5 miles. Take a left onto 153N, King Pine is 6 miles up.
Girls Getaway Weekends
Don't we need to get away? I'm lucky if it happens once a year. Even though they are sparse I cherish my girls weekends.
Lakeside Promise is the perfect setting, you won't be disappointed. With 8 beds and two bathrooms and lots of great places to relax and play catchup, it's a sure success. We even make it easy with remote control fireplaces.
For groups that like to get out and explore, and when I say explore I mean eat, shop, pamper, I have suggestions for that as well. My favorite downtown Wolfeboro restaurant is Garwoods, which is open year round. Then take a stroll up and down North Main Street and shop to your hearts desire. For the perfect pamper try ZenGlow on Mill Street in Wolfeboro. Susan will let your group linger for an afternoon of complete relaxation. Eat cheese and drink wine while you await your treatment of choice with the company of friends and soothing music.

Credit Cards
Many of our guests have taken advantage of using their credit cards to book and pay for vacation stays at Lakeside Promise. For this reason I will continue to accept credit cards in 2008.
